What is The Local Channel (TLC)?
TLC is a commercial company that has developed a website template for the adoption and use of Parish communities. It is free to parish communities and TLC derives revenue from businesses and individuals that choose to advertise within the template portal. How is TLC run?
TLC operates from its offices nr Salisbury in Wiltshire. It continues to develop its website template in consultation with the TLC Usergroup and local authorities and currently has a grant to develop the means by which the public can access councillors' details from their own local website. In addition to the development grant, TLC earns revenue from placing advertising in its website portal that is displayed as part of each parish website.

A proportion of all revenue earnt by TLC through this means is given back to parish councils through their "Cashback" scheme.
