About the TLC Usergroup
What is the Usergroup all about?
The Usergroup exists to represent the interests of all Users of the TLC website template. It's detailed objectives can be read here, and its constitution can be downloaded by clicking here
Is the Usergroup independant from TLC?
Yes. The Usergroup is a completely autonomous body working on behalf of its users.
How is the Usergroup run?
There is a Usergroup Board that determines the groups programme of activities and collates users views and opinions for discussion with TLC. Details of the Usergroup Board can be found by clicking here.
How much influence does the Usergroup have?
As the official representative of TLC website users, the Usergroup is the main source of reference TLC has with regard to users opinions about their website and their future needs.
TLC is nevertheless a commercially-driven organisation and it has other 'users' also; namely their advertisers through whom they generate revenue. The TLC Usergroup's primary focus is to represent 'parish' users. There will, from time to time, be conflicts of interest between the needs of 'parish' users, advertisers and TLC itself and in these circumstances the TLC Usergroup will act in the interests of it's 'parish' users.
The TLC Usergroup has no right of veto over the activities of TLC but aims to work in co-operation with the company to effect the best possible site for its 'parish' users.
How can I find out what's going on?
This website will contain all information relating to events and other activities in conjunction with TLC. More detailed information can always be obtained from any Board member whose contact details can be found by clicking here.
It is important you sign up as a member of the Usergroup Forum because then you will know what other users opinions and needs are and the Usergroup will have a more cohesive voice for agreeing needed changes to the website.
